After being shifted from Dongri Fort and the Esplanade, the Jumma Masjid was finally relocated to its present location on Sheikh Memon Street in Pydhoni. After relocation, the construction started in late 1775 and it took 27 years to complete this beautiful mosque. Besides its intricate carvings, 16 black stone arches hold up the mosque, while large windows face north, east and south.
