Hanging Gardens or ‘Pherozeshah Mehta Park’, was built way back in the 1880’s. Today, this park is known as Kamla Nehru Park. Among the many attractions (the main one being a panoramic view of the South side of the city and the acres of open garden space), is the structure of the Old Woman’s Shoe, based on the well-known nursery rhyme of the Old Woman who once lived in a shoe with her children. The very recently renovated structure has been around for years! The shoe is a source of delight for families, who can climb into it and lean across the little balcony for photo ops.
